Hello! I am Rachel Davis, an artist living and working in Hampshire. I have wanted to be an artist for as long as I can ever remember and have to pinch myself that this is really how I have been fortunate enough to make my living these last eight years.

I take inspiration from memories, experiences, day to day life, poems, songs, and the seasons. I try to inject them with as much colour, pattern and underlying narrative as possible. I want people to feel happier for looking at my work.

I work with a variety of materials including acrylic paint, ink, and paper or fabric collage. I love to make marks within the paint when it is still wet to reveal other colours beneath.

I currently sell original work via my home studio, Facebook page, Instagram, Art2Arts (https://www.art2arts.co.uk/rachel-davis) , Howarth's Gallery, Renasci Designs, London House Gallery, Bideford and THAT Gallery pop up gallery in Festival Place, Basingstoke. I also co-curate this gallery. Over the last eight years I have built up a private client base and have been fortunate to have work go to Finland, Denmark, Sweden, South Africa, Australia, Germany, Austria, Portugal, Majorca, France, Spain and America. 

I love working with people to brighten up corners of their home and welcome private, public and commercial commissions.
